Our Mission

LNY Optometry would like to welcome you to our practice. If you are looking for quality eye care with a personal touch and excellent customer service, then look no further. In our practice, we care for your eyes and are committed to understanding your eye-related concerns using state of the art diagnostic technology. We also take the extra time needed to answer all of your questions and help you find the best products to help you see clearly. Our practice also features a large selection of designer frames to fit every style and budget.

We look forward to meeting you in person and providing your families' eye care and optometry needs. We are conveniently located in the Pacific Plaza in Pacific Beach. The office is at the intersection of Garnet and Lamont (Pacific Beach), across the street from the Broken Yolk Restaurant, and just behind Bruegger's Bagels.

Our Doctors

For our logo we wanted to create a brand that represents simple, clean, and elegant design. LNY is an acronym for Linh aNd Yosuke. Linh is Dr. Pham's Vietnamese name and Yosuke is Dr. Yonemasu's first name.

Dr. Kristine Pham attended University of California, San Diego and graduated with a BS degree in Management Science in 2003. In 2007, she earned her doctorate from the New England College of Optometry. As part of her optometric education, she also trained with medical specialists in general ophthalmology, retina and cornea. She is fluent in Vietnamese. Dr. Pham has a strong passion for photography. Dr. Yosuke Yonemasu attended UCSD and graduated with a BS degree in Bioengineering in May of 2001. In 2005, he earned his doctorate from the UC Berkeley School of Optometry. Dr. Yonemasu's extensive training encompassed all aspects of optometric care and included a managing doctor position at Eyexam of California (Lenscrafters) for the last several years. His versatility in multiple languages also allows him to conduct exams in Japanese and Spanish. When Dr. Yonemasu is not seeing patients, he finds harmony and relaxation playing his guitars.

To give you the best possible service and results, we are committed to continual education and learning. Early diagnosis of eye disease is critical. Eye disease rarely has any symptoms in the early stages. Glaucoma, cataracts, macular degeneration and diabetic retinopathy are only some of the reasons an annual eye examination is so important.

RETURN POLICY:
Patient's own frames are accepted without warranty against breakage.

Contact lens non-adapt policy: office credit less exam fee when unopened boxes are returned within 30 days from examination date. Patient may forgo office credit for 20% refund.

Spectacles non-adapt policy: One redo at no cost or 20% refund less exam/service fee within 60 days from examination date. Patients must pay the full difference for upgrades.

Cancellation policy: Stock, un-opened contact lenses refundable less $12 shipping. Spectacle lenses are NOT refundable after lab work begun.

No refunds due to delays caused by back orders or lab breakage. We cannot guarantee delivery dates.

Payment Options

We make every effort to ensure that all fees are fair and reasonable. We always discuss charges before services are rendered. Full payment is due at the time of service and before ordering any ophthalmic materials. To purchase gift certificates, please contact our office.

Self-paying patients without any vision benefits or medical insurance are always welcome. We accept cash, debit, American Express®, MasterCard®, Visa®, Discover®, FSA and HSA (health flex saving accounts).

We do give 15% discount for military families and seniors (does not apply to contact lenses).

Our office accepts most vision care insurance. Please ask us for specific details. A vision insurance policy is not the same as health insurance. Regular health insurance plans only protect you against financial losses due to unexpected eye injuries or disease. Vision insurance is a wellness benefit designed to provide routine eye care, prescription eyewear and other vision related services at a reduced cost. We accept Eyemed, Blue View, MES Vision, Davis Vision, FEP Blue, Golden West, Aetna, Tricare, Triwest, and VSP (Vision Service Plan), Cigna Vision. These third-party plans typically subsidize the cost of professional services, prescriptive eyewear, and contact lenses. Unlike medical insurance, vision plans DO NOT typically cover the cost of professional services related to the treatment and management of eye disease.
